So there’s a lot of hype out there about this season’s upcoming outerwear - all the brands have stepped it up a level for both skiers and snowboarders alike. Some brands are offering over-the-top loud prints in retro colors and some brands are offering pieces that look straight off the winter-wear catwalks in NY or Paris. So…. with all these various styles and defining trends - we want to know what brands all you girls are stoked on - and what brands you’ll be sporting on the hill!? And why.
For example - take me - I am stoked on several brands right now - but for totally different reasons. I love Orage because of the quality of the jackets and pants (technical features and all the bells and whistles), yet still the styles aren’t lacking in the fashion world. But I am also loving the baggy, funky styles of Nikita - yes, bold stripes and dark earth tones - they’re not as techy but totally wearable and rideable - and they stand out. I guess I am just stoked about the options out there - oh, and can’t forget about Vans - Wow! Vans just released their outerwear line (maybe 2 seasons ago) and they aren’t messing around - tons of technical features but still incorporating the edgy style for which Vans is known- a great combo, incorporating faux-buttons and plaid/tweed look to the styles makes them wearable (but not too fashiony)! Oh and I can’t forget about Roxy - love what they are doing! Urgh - So I guess I am across the board, which will make this year’s decision tough -but actually is a really cool thing. Maybe I will be sporting a few different brands (and styles) this season depending on my mood.:)

I love love Betty Rides - they have great style and I’ve heard that they will have some really cool plays on Versace and such this season. I love the prints they come up with. I also love their skinny style pants. Oh and I also do like Nikita. Don’t know what their styles will look like this season - but usually they have cool stuff going on.

I just got the Kai Pinstripe Jacket by Orage. I can’t wait to get the matching pants. The pinstrips are so cool cool… oh and it’s got all those technical goodies.

RoXy! Their new line is so bomb…plus you get everything you want in a jacket/pants: style and warmth! They have some rad jackets and matching pants…not to mention the skis match some of the outerwear! Roxy is definetly where it’s at! LOVE IT!
Vans…have you seen their new outerwear? Its amaz. Who would have thought that Vans would have great stuff for the mountain, but they do. I will def be sporting some this season.
I don’t think the question is about “Outerwear” for me, rather I am focused on this seasons “Underwear”. I love undies. Being a California transplant has lead me to really utilize a technique used by the locals called “Layering”. Being an avid freestyle walker has been tough, especially as a woman, but the apparel industries overdue progression from the early 80’s till now is something to be keyed up about. I am very excited about introducing DC’s styli elements into my winter wardrobe. More specifically I am focused on function over form, and a lot of the new gear is able to fulfill both easily.

Outerwear — my favorite wear! Fall is in the air, the first flakes have fallen in the high country and I personally have got skiing/boarding on the brain. I’m stoked to see what Orag has got in store — I’m big on techie bells and whistles..BUT it’s gotta look good too. Roxy has always been a fav of mine also. I’ve got a Core Action Sports gift card burning in my pocket and can’t wait to pick out what I’m going to wear this year. Bring it on!

Holden,Vans,Mission6,Foursquare/Special blend actually made nice womens stuff for this year. Longer jackets are key.
Outerwear is key. My favorites are orage and holden their stuff is amazing. It fits perectly and is always warm! you get long wear and you look super dope too. I have an obsession with outfits and you can’t go wrong with some dope clothing from these companies!

Well i like a mixture of differnt outwear. it can range from technine, to holden, to roxy! they all make dope gear..but it depends on what style you want to rock. I personally would go for the “technine” image…big baggy and pretty much gangster.

Last year I wore a burton jacket, but I think this year I’m gonna do the Roxy route. I was at first bummed about the whole Roxy entering ski and snowboard, but now I am stoked about it. They are killing it for all us ladies! Bells and whistles are nice, but at the end of the day, its about style and being able to ride in whatever you’re wearing.
